MAC Refined Golden...

If your a fan of shimmery bronzers then this beautiful product from MAC could be well up your street. Refined Golden has a gorgeous shimmer going through the entire pan which looks great if you want to add extra dimension to your bronzer. MAC describes the powder as a lightly frosted tinted powder that gives skin sheer, natural colour effects and highlights. It's a suitable shade for all skin types, it blends well into the skin and you can build the product really well. Start off with a small amount and then build to your desired effect.

As the bronzer is very shimmery I wouldn't advise to use it over the whole face but it looks perfect on the cheeks or dusted over the collar bone.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick...

This Shimmer Brick from Bobbi Brown (£32) is a gorgeous product to have in your makeup bag. The packaging is chic, just like all Bobbi Brown products plus it opens up to reveal a decent size mirror. It feels really sturdy so you don't have to worry about it cracking in your handbag.

The Shimmer Brick itself contains 5 bars of luminous colour which work well as individual eye shadows. I personally like to sweep a brush across all 5 bars and pop it over my cheekbones. I also like to take the lightest colour at the top to add highlight under my brow bone and cupids bow.

The colours are super pigmented and give a stunning glow to the face. This one is the 'bronze' brick so it's the perfect medium between a bronzer and a highlighter. I can imagine this product lasting me a really long time as you only need to use the tiniest amount to get a gorgeous affect.

The Shimmer Brick comes in a range of other different colours, I definitely want to try the Rose Shimmer Brick next, a compact filled with soft, rosy pinks!

YSL Baby Doll Mascara...

I had been thinking about a new mascara for a while but I couldn't choose between the Benefit 'They're Real' mascara or the YSL 'baby doll'. They were both pretty expensive so I was cautious of which one to purchase. I was talking to the young girl on the Benefit counter about my predicament and she actually advised me to go for the YSL 'baby doll' mascara. She said it was much easier to remove and had a nicer smell than the 'They're Real' mascara, I was sold!

The baby doll mascara is a little pricier, at £25 I thought I was bit mad to spend that much money however I was so pleased that I did. I cannot fault this mascara, it really is fantastic! For a start I just love the name 'baby doll', the packaging is also gorgeous, one thing YSL never fault with, and my lashes have never looked so good!

The wand itself is plastic, so the bristles stay intact and hold the actual product much better. I find that a plastic wand is also easier to guide through the lashes, it combs itself through with ease and is less prone to clump the lashes. One sweep gives perfectly defined natural looking lashes but a second sweep really gives more of a dramatic look. It lengthens & thickens the lashes and is absolutely perfect for the bottom ones as well.

I personally think this is the best mascara I have ever tried, I seriously can't say a bad thing about it. But is it really worth the hefty price tag? £25 is a ridiculous amount of money to spend but I don't feel guilty just because I have loved using it. Would I buy it again? I don't think I would personally fork out for it again, it's too expensive to repurchase again and again but it would make a lovely gift. I know it's early to start thinking about Xmas but this is definitely going on my list!

Have you tried the YSL 'baby doll' mascara? Let me know what your favourite is at the moment.

MAC Harmony Blusher...

This gorgeous matte blusher from MAC is perfect to use as a contour, blush or overall bronzer on the face. It adds a lovely warmth so is perfect for all year round. What I love about this product is that it's described as a muted rose-beige brown, so it isn't at all orange. Perfect for really contouring those cheekbones!

YouTube guru's Pixiwoo & Tanya Burr have used this a lot in their tutorials as well. I think it's must have for any ones makeup bag.
